Transform the face of your team

Who said you couldn’t be creative in a rigid setting? As far as our Quartet is concerned, interpreting a score accurately does not cross out creativity. We hope to impart this very sense of freedom together with kindness, free expression, resilience, improvement and progress. With this module, we will demonstrate that daring to take risks and daring to displace the limits of the frame we have set up for ourselves can be greatly beneficial.

Building cohesion through emotion.

Donald Glowinski, researcher- practitioner in neuropsychology, in charge of the “emotional skills” programme at the University of Geneva, is passionate about music. He says that everything he learned from the neurosciences and the exploration of the world of emotions appears in musical practice. Through simple recreational tasks based on emotion, you will discover which emotional, physical and cognitive interactions positively build cohesion and which interactions obstruct it. This is a fascinating exercise in emotional intelligence – to be shared with the Quatuor Annesci!

Write a song in less than one hour.

This stimulating challenge where you are asked to write a piece of music from scratch in under sixty minutes shows how the power of music can be used to bring teams together. Each team works with one of our musicians. One group writes the lyrics, another group presents the bass voice, another is in charge of percussions and the last group acts as the choir. You soon realise that every single member of the team plays an important part in achieving the task at hand. From beginning to end, from the first blank page to the final product, it is quite startling to see how synergy can be increased through mutual trust, sharing thoughts and brainstorming ideas. An alternative art of management!
